Hi! I’m Judy!

FOUNDER & LEAD PLANNER OF SUMMER OF ‘90

I’ve always believed that weddings are about more than a beautiful event. They are about the people who shaped your story, the traditions that brought you here, and the moments you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Before starting Summer of ’90, I spent over 17 years working in corporate, where I developed a strong foundation in project management, problem solving, and guiding people through important life decisions. While I valued the work I was doing, I always found myself drawn to something more creative and meaningful, celebrating life’s biggest moments with the people who matter most.

What began as a love for planning quickly grew into a deeper passion for helping couples bring their wedding day to life in a way that feels personal, thoughtful, and true to them.

I’m especially passionate about cultural weddings, where family traditions and meaningful customs play an important role in the celebration. These weddings require thoughtful coordination and attention to detail, but they often create some of the most beautiful and memorable moments of the entire day. It’s something I care deeply about and something I’m incredibly honored to help guide couples through.

At the heart of Summer of ’90 is a simple goal, to create a wedding day where couples feel supported, present, and able to fully experience every moment. From the quiet pause before walking down the aisle to the celebration on the dance floor, my role is to make sure every detail is taken care of so you can focus on what truly matters.

Helping couples celebrate one of the most meaningful days of their lives is something I never take lightly, and it’s a privilege I’m grateful for every single time.

    OWNER, LEAD PLANNER

    When you book with Summer of ‘90, I’ll be the one to personally guide you through the planning process!

    Communication is a priority for me—I’m always available and quick to respond because I understand how important it is to have someone who is quick to respond.

    I’m very detail-oriented and take pride in creating timelines that our couples and vendors consistently praise for their accuracy and detail. Planning and logistics are where I thrive, and I approach every wedding with a thoughtful and organized mindset.

    I also have an incredible team that helps bring each wedding to life. We’ve received wonderful feedback from couples, guests, and vendors, and it’s something I’m truly proud of. We’re especially experienced with cultural weddings, which often involve intricate traditions and multiple events, making us skilled in managing all the moving parts with care and attention.

    A little about me: I’m a Cancer, which means I value relationships and care deeply about the people I work with. For me, it’s never just about the wedding—it’s about building connections and supporting couples as they celebrate this important milestone.

    Wedding planning is such a special time in people lives. I’ve always found myself drawn to helping family and friends plan and organize their events. Here at Summer of 90 we are passionate to create joyous memories for you and your loved ones. 


    I have 15 years in the financial and customer service industry. I genuinely enjoy anticipating clients needs and making a difference in their lives. Dedicated to finding solutions, my positive can do attitude, and clear communication skills have been valuable assets in my career.


    “Work hard. Play harder.” Is truly the life motto I live by.  When I’m not working I LOVE to travel with my best friend and partner, Jordan! Whether its a weekend getaway or catching flights to a tropical oasis! I am an adventurous soul always looking for the next thing to see, do, & experience. I also enjoy concerts (all types of music); the live energy from the crowds is such a rush! Don’t get me wrong, but amid being on the go, I can also slow down when needed. Quality time is my love language, so no matter how crazy life can get, intentional time with my friends and family is nonnegotiable.

    Hi, I’m Alexia Walsh! Wedding planning has always been a passion of mine because there’s nothing more rewarding than bringing a couple’s vision to life. With endless possibilities of colors and themes, every wedding feels like a brand-new adventure—and I love every moment of it.

    One of my favorite wedding moments? The cake cutting! By then, the couple is relaxed, laughing, and fully immersed in the celebration—it’s the perfect transition to the party of a lifetime.

    Before wedding planning, my background is in banking, which taught me to think quickly on my feet and handle high-pressure situations with ease. That experience is invaluable on wedding days because, let’s face it, things don’t always go exactly as planned. But when you work with me, you can trust that I’ll handle every detail with care and make sure you never miss a beat of your special day.

    When I’m not coordinating weddings, you’ll find me cooking, gardening, crocheting, or reading. I’m also a proud mom to four dogs and love traveling whenever I get the chance. I’m a Capricorn, and my spirit animal is the goat—fitting, since it’s also my lunar zodiac sign.

    I’ve always been a planner at heart, and there’s nothing more special to me than weddings- the love, the energy, and the little moments that make the day unforgettable. Being part of your wedding means making sure everything runs smoothly, so you can be fully present, soaking in every smile, every toast, and every dance move.

    I love how weddings reflect each couples unique story, especially when different cultures and traditions come together in beautiful ways. If I’m on your wedding team, know that I’ve got your back! I’ll anticipate what you need before you even realize it and handle the behind-the-scenes so you don’t have to.

    When I’m not celebrating love, you’ll probably find me out in nature or trying a new recipe (because good food is life!). I’m bilingual in Spanish and working on becoming trilingual because why stop at two?

    I love creating experiences for couples on their big day. What I love most about weddings is how they beautifully reflect personal traditions unique to each family while uniting two families into one. It’s such an honor to witness and be part of those moments.

    As your wedding assistant, my biggest strength is creative problem-solving. Let’s be honest, those who work in the wedding industry knows things don’t always go as planned at weddings, but that’s where I shine. A great problem solver can handle issues behind the scenes, so you’ll never even know there was a hiccup in the first place! My goal is to keep your day running smoothly, no matter what surprises come our way.

    A little about me: I’m a Gemini who loves trying new foods, staying healthy, and—like most of us—doomscrolling now and then. I can’t wait to work with you!

I’ve always been drawn to the magic of weddings—the laughter, the happy tears, and the emotions they evoke!

    I’m a natural problem solver, which has proven invaluable in the whirlwind of wedding planning. Things don’t always go perfectly (let’s be honest, there’s always a curveball), but staying calm under pressure is my superpower. When you work with me, you’ll have someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and fully dedicated to making your day go smoothly!

    Outside of weddings, you’ll find me curating the perfect playlist or leaning into my free-spirited side—just like a Mustang, always ready for the next adventure.

    Hello, my name is Anson Nguyen. I’ll be working alongside our lead planner, Judy Leathers, to support, execute, and celebrate your promise!

    I’m detailed oriented and attentive. Every detail matters- and not because it needs to be perfect, but because it tells a story.

    As a wedding assistant, I’m deeply passionate about supporting couples and collaborating with those behind the scenes to make sure that story unfolds.

    My goal is to anticipate needs before they arise, ease stress wherever is possible, and ensure couples can be fully present— Soaking in the love, laughter, and all.

    When I am not celebrating weddings, you’ll  find me enjoying life with the ones closest to me. Spending the only currency that matters to me most, time.

They helped us handpick many of our absolutely amazing vendors, making sure every choice aligned with our vision and budget. Communication with Judy and Angelica was seamless; they were always available, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day special. When unexpected severe weather hit on our wedding day in November, they handled the situation with remarkable grace and efficiency, helping us relocate our ceremony indoors without missing a beat. Thanks to their quick thinking and problem-solving skills, our day turned out even better than we could have imagined.
